Good Neighbour Week · 28 September–4 October 2026
A hello,
ready to go.
An invitation, a poster and a short guide to getting together.
Print the pages you need, add your local details, and share an invitation with a neighbour. Choose individual pages in your browser’s print dialog: invitation (1), poster (2), host guide (3).
Use your browser’s Print menu to print or save as PDF. A4 portrait works best; turn off browser headers and footers.
Hello,
neighbour.
Let’s get to know our neighbours.
I’m inviting a few neighbours to get together. You’d be very welcome.
Free to join. Come on your own or with someone you know.
If it isn’t your thing, no problem — I just wanted to say hello.

Fancy a cuppa
or a walk?
A cuppa, a walk, a little time together.
Join your neighbours.

Keep it small.
Make it welcoming.
Say hello to a neighbour this September.
Choose any day from 28 September–4 October.
Choose something simple.
A short walk, a cuppa or a chat. Agree the day, start time and how long you expect it to last. Choose something everyone can join for free.
Check the place.
Get permission for a shared venue. Check the route, steps, surfaces, crossings, seating and toilets. Describe access honestly and ask what people need.
Make the invitation clear.
Fill in the invitation or poster. Include the meeting point, activity, access details and a contact method you’re happy to share. Ask before putting up posters.
Have a plan for the weather.
Decide how you’ll tell people if plans change. For a walk, check the route beforehand and agree a pace together. Children should come with an adult responsible for them.
Help people feel at home.
Say your name. Introduce people who arrive on their own. Nobody has to join a group chat, share personal details or appear in a photograph.
Leave the door open.
Thank everyone. If people enjoyed it, suggest another time. Share contact details only with permission, and leave the space as you found it.
Before sharing, check the date, time, meeting place and contact details.
